Perfect Example of How Family Guy can be In Your Face Hilarious!

I have been trying to find some recent and specific examples on how in your face and drop dead hilarious that certain scenes from Family Guy can be. After thinking long and hard about this, and at the same time perusing the internet’s many video file sharing websites to find the appropriate clip that I can imbed following this blog—and per the tradition over here at FamilyGuyTalk.com—I do believe that I have found something that was pretty recent in it’s airing and that truly does deliver across the point at hand: that Family Guy is over the top consistently, one of the reasons why the show is so damned funny!

There is specific clip from Season 5 of Family Guy, where Chris comes to Peter about troubles that he is having at school with a bully. Peter gives him some advice, but nothing seems to be solving Chris’s dilemma. When Chris returns home from school with a black eye, Peter has had enough. He decides to go over to the bully’s home to have a talk with his parents. The bully’s parents invite Peter into their home and tell him that the kid is upstairs, and so Peter heads up there to talk to him about Chris and fighting at school.

When Peter tries to explain to the bully that fighting is wrong, that he hurt Chris’s feelings and that he should apologize to his son, but the kid just mimics Peter’s every move and word, mocking him every step of the way. After a few minutes of being subjected to this brutishness, Peter has had enough. He proceeds to kick the crap out of the kid and then sneaks out of the window, climbs down the tree and runs home to hide out.

I have imbedded the clip below which I believe is entitled, “The Kid Had it Coming.” After Peter runs out of patience trying to reason with the bully, he beats the holy living hell out of him, then scurries back home and hides in a tree until Louis hunts him down demanding an explanation. This is a classic example of how in your face and offensive the show can really be. A full grown man beating the crap out a child is priceless—because it is in a cartoon.
