Brian Shoots Down Stewie’s Songs Named After a Girl
So Stewie is going around trying to think of ways that he can impress her when he dreams up the plan of writing her a song, but that is just the beginnings of his troubles. He finds himself unable to really write a good song that he is impressed with. When Brian walks into the room, Stewie asks him for his advice on what he should write about and Brian laughs. Stewie informs Brian that he has named the song after the girl, which he believes is a classic ballad notion. However, Brain is not the least bit impressed and tells Stewie quite poignantly that there have been tons of songs named after or for girls and that his idea is not original in the least.
After Brian tells this to Stewie, the always vindictive and angry baby tells him to prove it, asking the family dog to list off songs that have been hits which were named after girls. Brian obliges and immediately begins to name twenty famous tunes that were named after or for women. Stewie scowls and demands that Brian name more, and the dog complies. To which Stewie demands he name more, and again, the dog complies.
Of course, what entry on Family Guy Talk would ever be complete without the accompaniment of a sultry video clip from the hit Fox TV show? So, as in par with the status quo of trendsetting traditions that I wish to remain prevalent on this blog, I do give to you this very clip. From the seventh episode of the current and seventh season entitled, “Songs Named After a Girl.” And if you can think of anymore songs named after or for women than Brian lists, please let me know, because I would be fairly impressed.
