When Peter Griffin wants to get a promotion at work he realizes very quickly that he must repeat the entire third grade. Hence the name of this hilarious episode, “Tales of a Third Grade Nothing,” which recently premiered as the sixth episode in the seventh season of the Sunday evening Fox staple, Animation Domination. At the same time, Stewie and Brian are trying to figure out how to save a downtown show biz club in city, when they run into Frank Sinatra Jr.—whom agrees to perform nightly shows with them in order to make the club the most hopping live music joint in the city.

I must say, that Family Guy has been widely known for offering some pretty damn decent musical scoring, especially considering the fact that it is a cartoon. And, at the same time, the show is best known for hosting famous singers, as is seen in this episode, where the guy playing Frank Sinatra Jr. is really him. Getting back on track here, the episode is similar to all plots in the show, three fold: flashbacks, a story revolving generally around Peter, and Brian and Stewie’s doings with the nightclub.

When Peter strives to get a promotion at work he realizes that he must complete the third grade—which he never completed—in order to attain his desired promotion and get to use the executive bathroom. After trying to impress his supervisor with a robot that later burns down a hospital filled with children, Peter’s only option is to complete the third grade and hope for the promotion. At the same time, Brian and Stewie by a club that is closing down and turn it into a nightclub, and then into a jazz club.
