Animation Domination: King of the Hill, The Simpsons, Family Guy & American Dad: Why Family Guy Comes out on Top!
I am sure that all lovers of the show, Family Guy, already know that new episodes air on Fox’s exclusive Animation Domination Sunday Primetime slots. And for many of you avid fans, it should come as no surprise that Family Guy frequently garners the top ratings of any and every, and all of the shows that are currently owned and aired by the network. And when you compare the other shows, even MacFarlane’s American Dad to the cult like and loyal following that chases Family Guy, well…there really is no comparison.
The Simpsons
The Simpsons are those lovable and yellowish characters that have entertained American Families for about two decades now. But, their comedy is drawn back and restrained, geared mostly for the whole family, as opposed to Family Guy’s outlandish, brazen and offensive antics with no morals in sight!
King of the Hill
Spawned from characters and successes with Beavis and Butthead, this show is funny, but really takes a while to grow on you. It is laden with morals and Texas, neo-conservative family values that only appeal to some. Basically, there is no question why Family Guy outranks this show each weekend!
American Dad
Created by MacFarlane, who also created Family Guy, American Dad is nearly as funny, but not quite. Perhaps it is just because Family Guy came first and we all fell in love with the Griffins prior. However, nothing can overrule that Stan and his antics are not to die for hilarious!
Family Guy
Each week that a new episodes airs, the viewers are wondering what line will they cross next? Who will they talk smack about? How offensive will it be? And there is never a moral anywhere in sight, just in your face humor that offends and makes you chuckle!
Darth Vader Gets a Loan: Classic Example of What Keeps Family Guy on Top!
In this clip below, which is depicted by yet another of Peter Griffin’s flashback memories, Darth Vader, the dark Sith from the movie Star Wars is actually a normal person living on earth, working as a meter maid. When he gets shunned by a passerby who he is writing a ticket for, he goes home depressed. Finally, he decides to take out a loan to try and get the death star built, but in the end, the bank denies him approval.
