Chris Pulls Dental Floss from Brian’s Butt! (Hilarious Clip Included!)
One of my favorite characters in the show Family Guy (both on Fox and Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim) is Brian the dog; and Stewie in second place. What is so great about Brian is that he tries so hard to be civil, intelligent and caring, and a human, but sometimes his doggy instincts take a hold of him and he is unable to do anything to stop them. That is what makes his character so funny; he can’t help that he is a dog, for but all extents and purposes, he is just like one of the guys!
Many examples of this have been given in the show’s long history. For example, anytime that Brian is disagreeing with Louis or Peter, and they don’t wish to carry on the banter, they will show him a ball or a stick. To which, Brian greatly objects, but once they throw it, he runs chasing after it barking. Yet, the moment he comes back, he is back to his old normal, not acting like dog self, awesome! Or like when he got a job working for the New Yorker, but after being fired goes to a Snoopy dog house and lays on top of it, as a song blares, “No Dogs Allowed!”
Perhaps the most notable part about Brian the dog, and the funniest if you ask me, is that he frequently has human girlfriends, and is infatuated and obsessed with Louis. But, at the same time, he wants to mate with other dogs. A great example of how he moves in and out of being human and dog like in many of the episodes. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. It does not make any sense, and that is why it is so freaking funny!
Brian Eats Dental Floss – Chris Comes to the Rescue!
In the clip below, which I must apologize for the poor quality of it, but it was the only clip that I was able to find on this subject, Chris comes to Brian’s rescue after he accidentally eats dental floss. As Chris pulls it out of his butt, the dog, already embarrassed, thanks him for his help. A great demonstration of how Brian can be a human like brainiac on one side of the coin, yet still bound by his canine instincts on the other side! The clip is below, enjoy!
