If you have never seen the episode of Family Guy where they flashback to Meg and Stewie sitting on the couch—making fun of all those lame ass anti-drug, drug free commercials—then you have missed a really hilarious flashback! As per the standard on this blog, which is bringing you all things that are classically hilarious on the show, Family Guy, and clipping them in so that you can enjoy them at one place, I will obviously imbed a clip following this post for your enjoyment!
Why Meg Gets Picked on so often
Have you ever wondered why Meg gets bashed so much during nearly every episode of the show? Furthermore, I was surfing around on the internet, and for liability reasons will refrain from adding a real life picture to tantamount this blurb, but I actually found a person who looks like Meg in the real life. Why anybody would want to dress up like the most notoriously routed character in the show is beyond me. In answer to the above poised question: Meg is the ambivalent character; she is meant to be picked on to enhance the show’s in-you-face offensiveness. Without Meg, indeed, the show would be drabber…much drabber!
Meg Does Serve a Purpose
Every comedy needs a character that is seemingly out of place. Meg fits this notion far too perfectly. She is a dork. She has massive image problems. She is inherently insecure, and she has no friends so to speak. Meg is that classic geeky girl that you all knew and never befriended in real life, during all of our tenures in High School! Just as Stewie is the evil, baby maniac, Brian is the heartbroken smartass, Chris is the halfway retarded naïve one, and Peter is a mixture of everything stupid—not to mention Louis, the hot wife that is smart and loves her family—Meg is the picked on person. Without Meg, and her gripes, the show would be far less entertaining.
Meg Gets High and Passes it on to Stewie
During another awesome and hilarious Family Guy Flashback, of course, as aforementioned and promised above, is imbedded below; Meg is suffering from being high on pot. When Stewie initiates a flashback, he recalls the time that Meg got him a contact high and caused them to both become two dimensional. It follows the classic Family Guy diatribe: make fun of popular culture as much as possible and in the most offensive ways!
