Peter Hunts for a Job – Becomes a Maid!

In a more recent episode of Family Guy – don’t ask me when this one aired as I can no longer recall – Peter Griffin finds himself out of a job. And so, the job hunt for the stout, stupid and the one and only Peter Griffin begins anew! The most memorable part about this episode was, of course, when Peter tries out his hand at being a maid and housekeeping for a local motel chain. This clip—which is obviously imbedded below, would you expect nothing less?—augments how the show always is looking for a racial stereotype to poke fun at; if for nothing more than to offend people on a daily basis! And, as you will soon see, it does indeed offend, once you get your mouth to stop hanging agape from laughing so hysterically that is!

The Unimaginable Fathoming of Peter Griffin
Before I touch on this clip, I would like to review the antics of Peter, and how his character relates to the show in such a grand and original manner! Peter is that all-around stupid, American male. The ideology that men are pigs entirely applies here. He is stupid. He is fat. He is egotistical. He tries dumb things, and he can never handle the blame resting solely on his rather large shoulders. Would you have it any other way? Can you imagine a Peter Griffin that is smart, good looking and politically correct? Me either!

How this Episode Pokes fun at Ethnicities
This episode really takes the ethnical bar to another level. That being, that most people assume that housekeeping persons or hotel maids are always Hispanic. When Peter finds himself working the same job, he dress like a woman in a maid outfit and there is a noticeable Hispanic dialect to his verbiage. They don’t brazenly call this out, but make it ever so apparent in the way that Peter speaks while working as a maid; true to the show’s humor and candor!

Peter as a Maid – Tries to Convince Couple of Having a Threesome with Him
This clip is awesome! Peter keeps knocking on a motel room door—where a romancing couple is inside having sex and telling him they don’t want housekeeping service that day. But that doesn’t stop him; he uses the master key and enters the room anyways. When he finds them naked in the bed, he asks them if he could join the party as a third, outside member!
