What happens when Chris Griffin gets himself down about life? Well he has the strong support group of all of the other characters in the show, Family Guy – with the exception of the diabolical baby Stewie – to try and help to cheer him up. In my many searching and web surfing to find the most hilarious clips of Family Guy and yap all about them to the many loyal readers of this blog, and so that you can find your favorite clips all in one place, I have stumbled upon yet another classic clip! This time, it’s of Peter giving Chris a dead bullfrog as a present to try and help to cheer him up!
Why is Peter Griffin so Dumb?
After watching the clip below, you might find yourself asking many questions about Peter Griffin, the loveable dad idiot on the show. But, ask as you might, there is never really a good answer as to why both Peter and his son are so stupid. Perhaps it is better left at this notion: they are stupid to augment the hilarity of the show. Case and point: Dilbert was smart…and where did that show go after three whole episodes? Nowhere!
The In-Scene Chemistry of Chris and Peter
There are numerous classic examples of the in-show stupidity that is demonstrated as father and son by Chris and Peter. For example: when Chris (whose voice on the show is acted by Robot Chicken creator Seth Green) tells his dad about the show, Robot Chicken, he gets shot down. After trying to convince his father that the show is one of the higher rated shows on Cartoon Network, Peter simply states: “Yeah, but what kind of numbers are we talking here Chris?”

Peter decides to try and cheer him up. When he brings him a dead bullfrog in a box, and tries to get rid of it out the window without touching it, a montage drags on indefinitely and is most certainly classic Family Guy hilarious! See how long it takes Peter to dispose of the dead frog below!
