Petoria Episode Grants Peter Diplomatic Immunity (Awesome MC Hammer Rip-Off Tune included)!
What happens if you were to give Peter Griffin his own country and diplomatic immunity? Well all hell would break loose in Rhode Island that is what would happen! And this is exactly what happens for Peter when he finds out, after trying to get permits approved to build a pool in his backyard that he is not on the map at all. After meeting with the mayor of the town, Adam West (yes the real Adam West from TV’s original Batman show), Peter finds out that his home is not technically part of the city. In short: he declares it to be his own sovereign nation of Petoria! This automatically grants the stout and lovable idiot diplomatic immunity, and he takes full advantage of this new stature.
The Crazy Antics of Peter Griffin
Peter is known for doing stupid things just like this, and often. Perhaps that is why he has been dubbed the new Homer Simpson of TV. Think of everything stupid that a person could possibly ever do, and times that by a hundred and you have the idiot that is Peter Griffin—a guy who things that Esoteric is a food that does not relate to the show, “Whose the Boss.”
Why Does Everybody Borrow from Hammer’s Tune “Can’t Touch This”
How many times will the song by MC Hammer, perhaps his only big hit, “Can’t Touch This,” get ripped off by nearly everybody? So, it seems only normal that Family Guy would hop on the rip off MC Hammer bandwagon and make their own classic rendition of this timelessly cheesy bubble gum rap ballad. Of course, I would not be out of my mind to think that they actually got approved for mechanical licensing prior to using the tune, so more than likely it was used with granted and expressed permissions.

And what you have all been waiting for (drum roll please): The Peter Griffin version of MC Hammers horrible rap song, “Can’t Touch This.” Dubbed as “You Can’t Touch Me,” when Peter dances around the town and let’s everybody know that he has diplomatic immunity because he now has his own country at his house. Please keep in mind, that real diplomatic immunity works nothing like this…and you would be arrested. Not that it matters at all! Enjoy!
