The One, The Only: Stewie Griffin
Ah yes…the one and the only Stewie Griffin: the mindful and ambiguous, evil little infant that always has some sort of plan that can allow for him to take over the world, and kill his mother. Stewie is a staple to this great show for so many reasons. First and foremost, his onscreen chemistry with Brian the dog is one of the better onscreen duos that you will ever see; even if they are only cartoon characters. His sniveling ways and his intellectual rhetoric are what makes him so likeable, in an evil and promiscuous sort of manner. However, the one great thing about this infant is that he goes in and out from being hampered by the instincts of a child to mad doctor extraordinaire.
Three Things that Are Distinctly Stewie Griffin
There are so many different things that this defunct toddler does that makes you love and hate him, and that makes you laugh. But there are three things that will always be distinctly Stewie Griffin. Let’s have a brief look at them…shall we?
1. Stewie’s love and hate for Brian the Dog: he hates this dog, but loves him at the same time. Anytime that Brian is gone he misses him, but only because he likes the back and forth banter that exists between them. They are enemies yet best friends at the same time. Both bound by instincts they cannot control, paramount to their genius.
2. His Love/Hate relationship between his mother: on only one occasion does Stewie really kill Louis. Other than that, he needs her. But he hates her and refuses to accept that she actually is his mother.
3. Homosexual Tendencies: is Stewie straight or gay? Well at least it is safe to say that he is bisexual. That is the fun of it. You never really know. They hint both ways and just when you think he is gay, he falls in love with another girl.
Stewie Gets Fat Like Orson Wells
When Stewie decides to go on an eating binge, spurred by Meg working at a local diner and pretending that he is her child and he is addicted to crack, Stewie becomes hooked on fatty foods. When he can’t have his pancakes and feed the addiction, he becomes enraged. Later on in the episode – where this clip comes from – he is seen as a fat ‘Orson Wells’ like character. Of course, Brian the dog lets him have it without holding back because the little tyrant has let himself and his body go for so long.
