Peter Takes it Too Far with a Teenager in Newest Episode to Air

If you caught the most recent episode of Family Guy, Season Seven’s “Stew-Roids” then I am sure there were several points during the airing of it that your jaw literally dropped; mine sure did. Now I totally appreciate this show, and rarely will you hear me knock it, but there were a few distinct points where I feel that they may have crossed the line. Albeit, I am most certain that the ratings never suffered; they never do. However, when seasoned show watchers like me go, “Wow” there is definitely some lawsuit fodder in the works…or so it may seem. Then again, Family Guy is all about crossing the line. So to clarify, I am not moaning. Just once again, I am amazed at how much a major network allows them to get away with.

They Even Know They are Taking it Too Far!
The episode centered on Meg wanting to be more popular. When Connie Demarco tells her to piss off, she becomes depressed. Playing off popular movies that are based upon high school clicks, Connie bets her best friend that she can’t make Chris (the biggest loser at James Woods High School) one of the most popular guys around. Meanwhile, Stewie is over at Joe’s house and Joe’s new infant girl beats the crap out of him. This causes Peter to take Stewie to the gym to get him beefed up. After getting Stewie hooked on steroids, he becomes more inflated than the Incredible Hulk; which makes for some serious laugh factors.

Are They Only Shooting for Shock Value Now?
The biggest shocks came with regards to Peter’s actions towards Connie (a teenager). After she comes over to dinner with her new boyfriend (Chris; whom she is dating to make more popular and win her bet), Peter frequently mentions sexual innuendos towards her, namely her breasts. At one point he even jumps on top of her in a sexual manner. But then he looks up towards the camera, knowing he went too far and says, “What…get over it…it’s just a cartoon people!”

Didn’t Get to See the Episode, Here is the Best Clip!
Of course, as per the usual, I have imbedded the best clip (at least in my humble opinion) for your viewing enjoyment below.
