Family Guy, Peter Griffin, Steven King, three kings, stand by me, misery, shawshank redemptionFamily Guy, Peter Griffin, Steven King, three kings, stand by me, misery, shawshank redemptionOne of the newer episodes of Family Guy called “Three Kings” is actually one of the funnier episodes that you will see in a long time. Episode Fifteen of Season Seven truly delivers on all fronts, and will leave your mouth agape with shock, and your cheeks hurting from laughing so much. Hello smile lines!

Veering away from the traditional back and forth plot of the show, they decided to take things in another direction this time around. In this episode, they decide to recant three classic Steven King tales, even though only one of them is actually written by the author. They reinvent “Stand By Me,” “Misery,” and “The Shawshank Redemption.” One thing to note is that during each skit, Joe can walk, but suddenly suffers from a terrible accident that renders his legs useless. If you have ever seen any of these aforementioned movies, and you love this show, then this episode is just for you!

Family News: Cleveland Leaving Show, Getting His Own
Rumors are amuck in the world of Family Guy lovers that Seth MacFarlane is not only getting rid of a beloved mainstay character on the show, but that he has another show (that would make three primetime Sunday shows) lined up for the fall on Sundays on Fox as well. During last Sunday (May 17th, 2009), the show announced that Peter’s neighbor, Cleveland, will be leaving town, and the show for good. In fall, however, they also announced that a new show that centers on Cleveland will be coming out called, “The Clevelands.” All three of MacFarlane’s shows, Family Guy, American Dad and The Clevelands will premier new seasons back-to-back in the fall on Fox’s Sunday Animation Domination primetime slots.

Funniest Clip from Family Guy’s “Three Kings Episode
Just in case you did not catch this episode – which was loaded with hilarious clips – I have taken the liberty of adding a darn funny clip for you. This clip, which was featured towards the end of Family Guy’s comedic rendition of the movie, “Shawshank Redemption,” shows the warden of the jail throwing a rock through the butt of a poster of David Cassidy. When he finds that the rock penetrates and leaves a hole in a certain, perfect place, he sticks his finger through the hole. Then his fist, then his whole arm, revealing a secret prison escape tunnel.
