New Episode Offers Laughs for Everybody
The newest episode of Family Guy, “Peter’s Progress,” offers some serious, all around laughs. From Stewie becoming king during the middle ages, to Louis and him marrying, and then divorcing when she leaves him for Peter, who consequently has started a new life after being exiled by King Stewie, and has married Meg. It seems that the show frequently touches on the factor that they are a cartoon and can get away with some truly offensive things. But, in your face outlandishness is one of the key staples of the show. So why stop here? It’s no holds barred.
Family Guy Takes a New Twist with Past Two Episodes
If you have been watching, the past two new episodes of Family Guy have traveled a different route than many episodes which have aired before them. In the episode that was aired two weeks ago (May 10th), they split it up into three different stories which were adaptations of famous movies. In the episode that aired this past Sunday, they did a whole episode flashback to the renaissance period, where Peter is striving for Louis’s love against an evil King Stuart (Stewie). This different type of story-boarding has really created some truly genuine and unique, hilarious episodes for the show. One can only hope that they continue this type of writing in the future episodes to come.
Family Guy Pokes Fun at Those Annoying Show Plugs on Live TV
Have you ever been watching television on the major TV networks and then, in the middle of your favorite show, a portion of the screen is taken up (usually at the bottom, across, to the left or to the right) plugging other shows and their airtimes on that network? We all have experienced this nuisance from time to time. When you are trying to watch your favorite show it can be really annoying. Well, the dudes over at Family Guy also hate this form of gimmick advertising. In this clip (below) they make fun of just that. King Stewie is in the middle of speaking when a banner pops down below, and then he ridicules the banner. Then another pops in and, and the banter continues.
