Have you ever wondered if the diabolical infant in the Family Guy, is gay? We have. And we know that we are not alone, if you were to read some other online blogs about the show, this question comes up frequently. Mostly, we think we all wonder if he is gay or not because the show typically portrays him as a dude that can go either way. And he is always dressing up in drag, sun tanning, shaving his scrotum and loves playing and performing show tunes. Aren’t these all stereotypical signs of being gay?

Top Five Reasons Why Stewie Griffin is Positively a Gay

1. He plays being gay to get out of the army. In an episode where Stewie and Brian join the army, they pretend to be gay to get kicked out. While they are kissing, another person asks to join and Stewie tells him, “Hell Yes!”

2. He dresses up in drag frequently. There are so many different episodes where Stewie is shown dressed up like a girl, and loving it…perhaps a sign he is gay or transgender.

3. He wouldn't mind being gay.  After Stewie breaks up with a girl, he asks Brian why men can’t just be with men. To which Brian answers they do, and that’s gay. Stewie responds by telling Brian that he wouldn’t mind being gay.

4. He sings show tunes and performs them. There are so many episodes where Stewie is singing show tunes and dancing…a classic sign of being gay.

5. He frequently hints at being gay. There are tons of episodes where Stewie coyly hints that he likes men, but then veers in the direction of being straight again.

In short: the show wants you to think he is gay, but in reality Stewie likes men and women.

Stewie Dresses Up in Drag to Date Brian
When Brian is unable to get his girlfriend Jillian to commit back to dating him, he decides that further, more aggressive action is needed. So, he asks for his little buddy Stewie to dress up like a girl and accompany him out on a date so that he can make his ex girlfriend, Jillian, jealous. Of course, the plan does not exactly go the way that Brian has expected and he and Stewie end up just having a good time out on the town, as opposed to making Jillian jealous of Brian.
