Have you ever wondered how the show Family Guy gets away with having such an outlandishly brazen molesting pervert of a character like Herbert in their show on Sundays? I recall when the Simpsons first aired on Fox; they were amuck with hate mail and Christian, rightwing conservative families that were in an uproar. Heck, the show The Simpsons even got near being canceled because the outcry was so great at first. Then fast forwards to Family Guy, and you have a show that has already been canceled one time around, and now is back by popular demand. Keywords here: popular demand. Three Things that Quagmire and Herbert Have in Common
There are some similarities that you may find between the pedophile, older character, Herbert in Family Guy and younger (albeit 62 years old) sexual deviant, Quagmire. They both are pedophiles. One likes men the other likes women. They are both deviant. And, they will both pull out all stops to get what they want sexually by manipulating another person. Quagmire will use pills and booze and seduce women. Hebert will use ice cream cones and popsicles to get a child to trust him. It seems to me that Herbert is the older, Gay version of Quagmire.

How do They Getaway with a Character like Herbert? 
Basically, in a nutshell, the show Family Guy rides off offensively perverse humor. While there were many who hated it at first, the fact of the matter is that your jaw quite often falls open when watching an episode. For that reason alone, many people are morbidly inclined to tune in each Sunday, if for nothing more than to just see what they are going to do next. How are they going to offend us this time around? Who will they make fun of? And what crazy antics will be unveiled this Sunday?
